Hello and welcome! My name is Elisa. I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend from Atlanta, Georgia, doing my best to live in the moment. A passionate Francophil, I love to travel, I adore the ocean and am weirdly fascinated by maps. I’ve been told many times that I walk too fast.
I’ve blogged on and off for the last five years or so and have enjoyed interacting with the many kind and talented people from around the blog world. If you have time, check in for the occasional post on a new journey or life story. I’d love to see you.
Thank you,
elisa
Hi Elisa, just popped over here from Jo’s Monday Walk post and wanted to say that I love your blog! Also, I am a huge Rafa fan, so you’ve got me! Was so disappointed at his defeat this year at Wimbledon – and then Murray (I’m a Brit but Rafa is number one for me, shhhh…don’t tell anyone!!) and then the men’s final, something to behold, a classic!
Lovely to meet you – Sherri 😀

Hi there! So sorry for the late response. The summer has been a bit more hectic than most… but in a good way. And I empathize completely with the tough choice between Murray and Rafa! Murray won me (and the rest of the tennis world) over when he gave his gracious speech after he won Wimbledon. But like you, Rafa will always have the edge!
Take care,
Elisa

How did I miss this page and your two Great Danes? 🙂 🙂 Sad for Rafa right now, Elisa. It’s just not happening- yet! But he’s still a joy to watch. 🙂

You are so sweet to read my “details.” It probably could use a good update! And yes, our Rafa has lost his edge – I can’t imagine tennis without him. I’m in L.A. for a quick visit with my daughter, the weather is divine! I will check in soon!

I just read your About, and I noticed how you love the planning part of travel. It reminded me of the wise Winnie the Pooh:
“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best,” and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.”

Nice light, good framing, good subjects (Love the scotch terrier and the door. Is he/she yours?)

Not quite as fluent as you, but I’ve been practicing my French. Stay well. 🙂

Hey there back! Thought you were making ready to call it day regarding WP. When I checked in this morning and noticed the new theme (very nice) and now to find your reply, I hope it doesn’t mean a winter storm is coming here, lol. 🙂 Hope you and your family are doing well. My daughters will be graduating in May, and they’re planning a little longer show schedule this year. And, maybe before the holidays later this year, we might be moving to our ranch.
In April, we’ll be breaking ground on the new barn. Once we’re settled in, we’ll extend to you and your husband a standing invitation. Be warned, we might put you to work. 🙂 Knock on wood, everything goes to plan.
Stay well, young lady.

Hello Elisa. Your blog–your photos and your writing style–radiates a definite joy and lightheartedness. I think that comes from seeing the beauty that surrounds us and discovering. Turns out people say I walk too fast also, except with a camera in my hands. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
