    1. My husband is the same way, hops out of bed early to head to the gym. Meโ€ฆnot so much! I agree though, getting up to head to the beach and surf (I’d like to try wake boarding) would be a major motivator!!!
      Have a great day, Andy!

    1. Yes, breakfast is a great motivator. My motivation is our two little dogs, who will lick my face and jump on my head until I get up. Motivating yes, but not as much fun as going surfing or eating a delish breakfast!
      Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I’m impressed that you did it. You caught a lovely scene of the beauty of the morning sunrise and it’s fans. I have a most difficult time trying to get out of bed in time. Now that the sunrises are a bit latter (with daylight saving time), I’ll have more motivation. I did go weeks ago, and have never posted the results. The aryl morning light is a glorious example of nature’s majesty.

  2. I totally agree with you there Elisa. What a gorgeous view and I would do the same for sure. Great shot! Normally I don’t need any motivation unless I am not feeling well. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Great picture, Elisa. Early morning, even dawn on the beach with a hot coffee is nirvana to me. Thanks for sharing your time.

  4. Except for seeing the sun rise over the ocean not much motivates me to get out of bed before dawn. I like to laze around in bed with a cup of tea and read – usually something connected to my writing that day.
Thanks for reading my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks, David. I almost didn’t post this pic because of her location in front of the palm tree. I kept looking at the image thinking, “Just one more step and it would have been perfect.” I barely remember taking it, it was so darned early and pretty dark outside! I guess the lesson is to just keep clicking, right?

  5. If I could wake up to the salty air brought by the ocean breeze, I wouldn’t mind at all ๐Ÿ™‚
These days, nothing seems to motivate me to wake up early, not even the smell of coffee…LOL! Hopefully it’ll change when Spring finally arrives.
    Beautiful shot, Elisa.

    1. Gracie, we need to get you out of the snow and back to the seaside! I’m glad you like the pic – I almost didn’t post it because the surfer was right in front of the palm tree. But those beach photos make me so happy to think of being back at the beach. It reminds me a little bit of the wonderful shot you took of the surfer walking in front of the Manhattan Beach pier, at dusk. Loved that one!

    1. Gail, what is it about the computer? It’s become like hypnosis for me! And no, I didn’t know the surfer, I barely remember taking it and was surprised when I lightened the picture and saw her in the middle. It’s kind of a badddd shot, but I enjoy looking at it for some reason. ๐Ÿ™‚
Our girls and boys will be home soon, won’t they? Hurrah!
