Bejeweled

As the sun sets she becomes greedy. She scoops up her riches and keeps them close until the gentle release of nightfall into dawn, when she relents, lightly dusting the earth, shimmering. Bejeweled.

  1. ONE LOVES sparkles. The sand is like MILLIONS of tiny diamonds basking in the warm sun. I would have LOVED to see this!

  2. Beautiful photos Elisa, especially the second. And I have to wonder, did you stick around to see what the sun would do to those clouds after it dipped below the horizon? I have a hunch the under-glow on the clouds would have been worth sticking around.

  3. The light really does create jewel-like sparkles. I like beaches only at this time of day and later into the evening. There really isn’t much on earth quite like it. These images remind me. πŸ™‚

    1. I often wonder what my life would have been like if I had been a “morning person.” It’s obviously the best time of day…but torture for me to wake up and welcome it that way. On the other hand, I guess there’s something to be said about the night!
