A tight U-turn brought me back to a beautiful farm where the sun was making its exquisite exit for the day. Stopping would make me late, but stop I did, and it was worth every extra delayed minute to my schedule. It only took a few seconds for the day’s tension to start melting from my body as I immersed myself in the moment. The man who owns this gorgeous piece of North Georgia stopped by on his tractor and we visited for a few minutes. He told me some interesting local tales and we found we had some things in common; and as I usually hope for, there was laughter. Next time, I won’t think twice about stopping to take in a beautiful moment. I’ll just have to remember to leave the house a little earlier!

Funny, I was just saying that to a friend of mine. We need a “spotter” to keep us from danger when we’re so distracted by the lens!

Fantastic light for it. Photography is my dad’s hobby and I remember all kinds of situations where we would have to wait for the right light. Sometimes we’d pull over on the side of the road for 30 minutes just waiting for the clouds to break.

Wow, brilliant photos so to witness the moment itself must have been amazing! Thanks for sharing, this made me smile and relax my shoulders after a days work. Sometimes we rush past beautiful things in hurry, not realising we might appreciate them just as much or more than what we find at out destination. Great blog!

I’m from California. Our hay bails are rectangular. The first time I saw a round hay bail was in Georgia years ago! I thought they were so cool with their rounded shape. Awesome photos! Maggie and I like. WOOF WOOF 🙂 🙂
