Shades of a Green Dream

An old Plymouth fell from heaven and whispered my name.

…an aqua cloud that floated down from a peaceful sunset.

Could this be a Thelma and Louise get away car with a happy ending?

I thought I just heard Elvis singing Love Me Tender….

If it had landed in the Irish Countryside this Belvedere would be invisible.

Cream de Menthe, anyone?

  1. I love old cars, to,look at, to reminisce. They bring back memories of past lives and times, sharp edges smoothed by the passing years.

    Thanks for sharing.

    1. I passed this car on the way back from Emory University, believe it or not. It was parked in a great little village, Candler Park, near Little Five Points. Very cool area, I think you would like it!

You will have to let me know when you are coming for orientation….I hope I will be here!

        1. I should be good on those dates. We can touch base when it gets a little closer and make a plan. I can meet you at the most convenient place for you….it’s going to be a hectic time, so I can be flexible!

    1. Thanks, Marie. I almost canceled this post after I read your beautiful piece on the Nash. I don’t know why I love old cars so much. I think they just make me feel good!

  2. Elisa! The car is lovely, but I had no idea you were a prolific writer, too! Multi-talented! You can take photos with an iPhone like no one else, and now this?? Seriously, I’m moved. No, I’m not kidding.

    1. Jeannie, that is one of the nicest things anybody has ever said to me! You have a way of making people feel good about themselves…that is a wonderful gift you have…thank you!

  3. Your photos show much respect for this wonderful old Plymouth. Great photo comp…nice color…liking both pics a whole lot…and know I would like a beat-up jalopy if it had those white wall tires. Like you, I love vintage cars as well…always looking for an auto show somewhere. Did you stop and make an offer on this beautiful automobile? πŸ™‚

    1. Oh man, I’d love to bomb around in an old beauty like this! I don’t think I’d trust myself with those white wall tires, though – way much parking pressure…

      Have a great weekend!

  4. That is an old car. The same model I have ever seen on display at the hotel in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Shiny black color. May be used by our grandparents, or our ancestors …. πŸ™‚
